My Nanny T had lots of these shiny cages filled to the top with lots of breakable stuff she wanted displayed but keep out of reach of clumsy kid hands who couldn't just leave stuff alone. No matter how many fingerprints and nose smudges against the glass showed up from admiring the contents, everything inside stayed safe and mostly dust free.
One of those items out of reach was a pair of Egyptian-inspired cat statues sitting side by side as if posing for a photo op. They were the prettiest color blue I'd ever seen and looked so good together like twins destined to stay together forever. Lefty has a battle scar from my dad's kid years, so I assume that's why these were sentenced to spend their days in Glass Jail.
I have finally broke these sisters out of Glass Jail and use them as bookends. If I do say so myself, these two aqua-colored beauties look pretty awesome against my simple bookshelf surrounding my mini library of books.
