Finds & Treasures: Cleopatra Choker (July's Jewelry Theme)

Normally I'm the biggest princess when it comes to metal quality in my jewelry.  I'm referring to "princess" as wimpy and demanding.  The only metal that is allowed to touch my dainty skin is the expensive stuff or else I appear and/or feel like I'm dying of some itchy, bubbling, hived plague you better hope isn't contagious.  This is why I usually avoid all-metal chokers at all cost.

But not this one!  This Cleopatra inspired choker out of my grandmother's collection must be blessed by the gods or something in order for it to be tightly wrapped around my neck without any worries.  Adjustable bobbins (I'm calling them bobbins, I don't know what else to call them other than balls) in the back allow a few options for placement on the neck.  The metal tassels and draping pieces in the front are so elegant.  When I wear it everything worn along with it is suddenly fancy.

Also, if you pretend the loops attached to the tassels are eyes and the chain between them is a mouth, it's the cutest smiley face!  (See what I did there in the first image?  Look how happy it is!)
