Finds & Treasures: Ranger Bears Baby Blanket (January Childhood Theme)

As the next January entry for the F&T series of "from birth to childhood," I have the handmade baby blanket from my amazing aunt who left this earth too soon last year.  My cat thinks it's his so it cannot be on display without excessive cat hair. 

This square-yard blanket is quilted together with several floral patterns and little ranger bears on one side.  The backside pattern not shown has the full beige fabric of the bears with little trees.  My Park Ranger parents were pleased to receive this brain-washing piece along with other ranger-themed kid stuff (like a cassette tape of national parks' songs that was a staple on road trips) but neither my sister or I ended up rangers of any sort. 

In memory of my aunt, I plan to start a tradition of giving a handmade blanket to my future nieces &/or nephews whenever my sister pops out some kids.
