Tip #28: Clothespins as Memo Clips

Lovely Tip #28: Clothespins as Memo Clips via www.whatmandyloves.com
I have a nasty habit of misplacing papers.  Or hiding them away in my massive file folio container never to see the light of day again, even when it's something I need to reference semi soon.  Other times I have cute little notes or about-to-expire coupons I want to remember to see.  My cat doesn't like papers on a surface as much as the next cat, so he knocks them on the floor.  What did I do to solve ALL of this?

Attach a clothespin to the wall near a door or your office space as memo clips to hold important and easily visible papers.

Using adhesive stickies to be apartment-friendly, I set up two next to my bathroom sliding door I definitely pass every single day even on days I work from home.  One holds a cute note I received on a bouquet of flowers this past Valentine's Day from girlfriends.  (One of the not so "secret" admirers was caught leaving my apartment complex.)  The other clothespin above it holds all the coupons, bills, and other important papers I want IN MY FACE at eye level to remember what they're for and where they are.

My friends are silly, sending me flowers on Valentines Day and leaving this note.

I even made them more matchy-matchy with my decor colors using washi tape on the wooden pieces that face away from the wall.  You could also use paints or markers if the wood look isn't your thing.

Do you hang papers on the wall for practical or decor purposes?  How do you repurpose clothespins?  Let me know in the comments!
